Dallas kind of is the new Chicago. Still the Wild exposed their defensive ineptness, but just were not able to convert. I was never comfortable at 2-0, although after they killed the 4 on 3, I felt like that should be a big lift to the team. It was the opposite.

I hate to “grouse” on the refs, but how do you take Granlund off? That being said, better him than Parise or Stoll who kill penalties. However, we shouldn’t have gotten anything for that Sharp interference. I would also love to see the Koivu penalty replay again too. It just looked like a stick check. I mean if you are going to take one of our players, then for God’s sake have a little discretion that gives either team a 4 on 3.

I put Mike Condon on the bench today for my fantasy team with the hope that the Wild are going to blow him up tonight. grin

Yeo needs to realize yapping at the refs can work against you… 2-3 shaky calls after that. Refs are human too and part of the game. Contender coaches know when to light them up and when to point out a questionable call.

Personally, I feel the Wild aka the Mild (they obviously need a bad azz enforcer) will play pretender until a sage coach is brought in. Yeo isn’t a bad coach but some of his behaviors are detrimental…

Go Wild! Hope Roy’s Avalanche don’t continue to build momentum.

Play coach for a minute. How do you correct your team when they start off like that but start to sputter? Yeo needs to unlock that mystery.

I can’t think of one team that has an enforcer. The game has passed them by. I used to like a good brawl, but honestly I don’t miss it.

Not a very good response from last night there in the first. Interesting to see how they respond in the second after that goal was taken away. They better show they have learned how to respond to calls going against them the last two games.

What a booooooring snoozefest of a game. Embarrassing even if they win. This is the response to givig up a 2 goal lead in the previous game?

    One word!

CAPTAIN!……What a beast this year. By far our best 2 way player.

Good bounce back win after the egg we layed against Pittsburgh.

Now if Nino and Coyle can build on these last few games and stay consistent, they are going to be a force. They are back to playing like power forwards.

Felt like a playoff game tonight. I’d like to see them play every game like tonight for the rest of the season.

Damn I wish Vanek potted that one.

I’ll be 4 rows behind the Wild bench in the middle on the aisle tomorrow. If you see security….please send bail money.

Unless they do one of those montage of wild fans A away games between periods or break in the action, I doubt you’ll see us. Most bench shots of coaches only show the first row behind the glass.

Sounds like Bishop is out which is good. Palat may return to the lineup and maybe we will see the triplets reunited. Johnson, Palat and Kucherov

@mwodziak remember when you asked how Drouin is doing. Marchessault looks good.

Marchessault on top power play unit, Drouin heading to @SyracuseCrunch. Not sure many saw that coming at beginning of year #TBLightning

Word on the street literally is Parise is playing. Someone yelled across the street and asked him.

Nino, Pominville, Parise and not sure who the fourth player is. Saw Koivu, Zucker and Prosser too.

Can you tell Parise that I need him to put up some good fantasy points please? Enjoy the game.

That’s crazy. He had so much buzz before he was drafted. I wonder if his character is a problem.

I’m sure he’ll be fine. Tyler Johnson started as a disappointment.

Well I almost got kicked out. I got into it with some fans while they were reviewing the goal. Lol. The usher came down motioning me to bring it down. We talked the usher a couple times before that so I think he was just looking out for me. Lol. One of the guys who I got into it with waited for me and we exchanged apologies and a hug.

Had a bolt fan come up after, not sure if he was in my section, but he said that disallowed goal was a bs call. He said he even told Bolts fans in his section they were wrong. Kind of annoying that they want more scoring but take away that one.

So I went through some pictures this morning. What do you think he is thinking to himself? No, its not why is that guy wearing a dress.

Sure hope Koivu injury isn’t serious. That would be huge blow.

Yes, but I remain in striking distance. I need to figure out my goalie situation.

I sure hope it stays on as a keeper league. I’m built for the future.

Losing Koivu with how he was playing will be tough. Hopefully its nothing serious. I have been on him BIG time the last couple years because I felt he wasn’t performing like he should. No, I don’t think he needs to score 40 goals, but aside from his faceoffs and PK skills he was just not producing IMO the last couple years.
THIS YEAR he has been great in all facets. No surprise he is crediting it to a stronger offseason regimen that focused on conditioning.
If they do lose him for a short period I think we can survive with our depth, but I don’t think we can for more than a couple games.
People criticize Yeo for all the shuffling of the lines, but its because of that when we lose a key cog we can continue to produce. The guys have some familiarity with one another.
Coyle is an absolute beast right now I hope he can keep that up. We need Zucker and Nino to get going a bit more consistently, but I think they are playing good overall the puck just isn’t going in for them. Nino had a couple glorious chances last night and was robbed. Those will come. Please with 5 of 8 pts on the road…

Koivu went to the hospital as a precaution. He started to spit up blood. Was released and flew back with wild. Per Russo.

One thing I wished happened last night. Parise scoring on the sweet behind the back pass from Vanek. The one where he wad in front of the net and he faked like he was going to pass to whoever was on the opposite wing. I think it was a 3 on 2.

Pug, that was a sweet play. Vanek seems to have 3 or 4 of those types of plays a game, but unfortunately few of them are capitalized on.
This is a lot of trade chatter going on so it might be an interesting last half of the season coming up. The Wild do not have much money under the cap, but they do have some assets that I think they could move and have value for other teams.

I think I heard the Wild announcers in the last few games say how players are now keeping their stick on the ice to be ready for a Vanek pass.

Last night the Columbus feed there was no mention of the trap…until the remaining minutes when they said, “The Wild play a trapping game that will lull you to sleep if” when referring to why the Jackets were losing. Seriously, the Wild have 2 forecheckers below the blueline most of the time. The only time they trap is when a team is resetting with a defenseman holding the puck behind the net, which they should. And that’s what every team does.
