Well stayed out of the Wigwam from Thursday the 26th to Sunday March 1st. On Friday it was about an hour ride out on the lake in the track Van and boy was it bumpy. Fishing Friday was pretty slow, in my group of 3 we managed 20 fish for the day. Almost all the fish were caught on the dead stick with a plane red hook. We managed 12 walleyes and saugers for a little supper at the Wigwam which was very good. The rest of the fish we caught on Friday were very small.

Saturday we were in the same area and fishing was great in the morning. In the first minute of the day we had 2 14 inch walleyes in our bucket both again from the dead stick. I think we had 12 in the bucket by 11am. The whole weekend i was trying the #4 rippin rap and wasnt have much luck until I saw a big mark on my marcum and bam had a nice 24inch walleye come through the hole.

All in all we had a great time even though the fishing was slow. Some other guys around us did pretty well and some did worse than us. Its crazy how that works but thats fishing. As for the Wigwam they did a great job on checking on us and giving us any tips they could. Mike one of their guides did a great job for us and we will be booking a guiding trip with him this summer. The Wigwam does have a new owner and from what I heard he does plan on fixing up the resort and making some upgrades on it. Just cant wait to get back up there!
