Booked wigwam the first week in January. Curious everyone’s thoughts on the place? All others were booked up.

Not the nicest place up there, but I’m sure it will be fine. I wouldn’t bring my wife there, but she is a snob.

Their reputation has taken a hit since the ownership change. If I remember correctly road passes were $40 last winter. Once you’re on the ice and fishing none of the other stuff matters!

What did you book? Their bunk house was somewhere between dorm room and prison cell. Cabins are nice. Bar/restaurant are good! (This was all pre-sale, so not sure what if anything has changed).

How many days was a $40 road pass good for? That’s definitely more than a day pass.
I’ve never minded paying the fee to access and use an ice road on LOTW that I know is plowed and relatively safe (if any ice can ever be called safe). It’s a fairly large expense for the resorts to maintain their roads.
As an angler, I think having a plowed and maintained road going right out to fishable water is great.

Agreed. But some times you have to break that new fresh road your self to get away. Lol
I actually don’t suggest that, this was a nightmare. Lots of tip up fish caught while shoveling

You cannot get any closer to the access than Wigwam. Pretty good Nightlife and the best Pull Tab selection! toast woot
