On Monday I thought it would be a great night to try a hunt. I let the wife know to talk to her sister to watch the kids. We got in the blind a little late as there was already a deer in the field. I waited for the deer to clear the hill and we slipped into the blind. As we got in there it didn’t take long to start seeing these 2 monster bucks that we had been after for a couple weeks. They have been hanging in this area on my buddy’s property for a while now and it’s a matter of time before she or I will get in arrow in one. But none the less they stayed about 200 yards out for awhile. As I am watching them my wife taps me on the leg and says Matt here comes 4 big does. As of last week she has past up 3 small bucks in the decoy at 12 yards just not to burn her buck tag. But she said she would shoot a mature doe. As the deer approached I focused the camera on the first one coming in. As I took one Moore glance to see where them bucks were and they were still a ways out. Than I focused my attention to the deer coming in as it got closer the wife said get ready I’m going to kill her when she gets by that tree. I zoomed in on the deer and the wife drew back and let that arrow fly and whack I see the lumanock just smoke her perfect just behind the front shoulder and the arrow hit the off shoulder and stoped.come to find out it was a perfect heart shot. She was so excited and also new she smoked her. As we got done celebrating in the blind I looked out to check on those bucks and now there was 6 bucks out there and they were a little closer. As they got closer I realized the one was the big 8 she missed last week (big 8 probly mid 140’s)
Just a beast. And the othe buck is the giant 10 I got footage of last week. I grabbed the rattle bag and hit that a little it got there attention as both big bucks started to come to the decoy. They got to about 65 yards and then fed at a apple tree that kept them there till after dark till they walked off to the south. With that being said I was jacked up knowing wife’s first deer is dead and the bucks are still around. I snuck out last night just to sit on this hill and see if they would come out again and seen a whole mess of bucks last night. I guess it’s time to get back in the blind.

It was a great experience that she nor I will never forget. I’ll try to get a clip up of the hunt. It’s pretty cool to see the lumanock fly through the air.
