This year ended a lot better than last years WI Turkey. Our group struggled last year but this year we had 4 birds down on opening morning by 7:30AM. We got a celebrate breakfast in that morning.
I was able to fill my 2nd tag the next day was able to coax this bird and his buddy off a neighbor property. Had to do some moving around like I was leaving but finally got them to break and enter our woods. I just got back to my tree and made a call and they gobbled in our woods when they where just across a field road from us. Once it was like I was leaving they couldn’t take it. Close the deal with a few yelps and they where in our lap.
Was a great way to end the 2023 season. Hoping to get a friend out this weekend we will see.
