Anybody planning to hunt the anterless only season next weekend? central farmland and central forest Zone antlerless-only Hunt:
One antlerless deer per unused Antlerless Deer Carcass Tag valid for use in the specified zone and DMU. Only antlerless deer may be harvested.

I plan on hunting but was wondering how much patterns may change given the change in weather and snow cover conditions since the beginning of regular opener. Any advice would be useful.

I wish these things weren’t so all-compassing. The place I hunted last weekend is open for this and there’s no way another doe should be removed from that area. Anyways hopefully there is snow so you can see what they are eating and where they are coming from to get there.

I get where you’re coming from. There are certainly areas that probably aren’t ideal for any extra harvest. I saw plenty of does where I’m hunting, I just never had a shot during open hours.

I’ll probably scout a little this weekend and see what kind of sign I can identify.

We saw a couple bucks chasing does yet, so if they haven’t been pressured too much, life as normal. I’m refraining from any does by me. Been over harvested for way too long. Just starting to see regular does and this year, a good amount of yearlings

Good thinking. We may lose all this snow before the hunt.
