Wi back channel opening???

At what river level does the WI back channel or Everts open up again???

If you want to stay dry when launching at the backchannel the Red Wing gauge would need to be 11’.

The County says they will open it at 12’. But you’ll be walking in water to get to the dock.

The other piece to opening is the debris. They can keep it closed until the area is cleaned up if it needs it.

Everts resort is planning to open at some capacity at 13′ which looks like next Tuesday or Wednesday at this point. They have been updating their Facebook page every few days and will continue to do so. Hoping will you see the continued recession of water levels so we can all get back on the water.

The back channel should be opening today. I won’t be down there until Thursday evening to lay eyeballs on it though.

It was closed yesterday. Put in at Everts. Great day to be on the water. And the fishing was not bad.
