Based on Walker’s idea to rid us of our opinions at these meetings, our Conservation Congress and our Natural Resources Board, it seems to me we should be talking about our Governor this Spring!!!

Mark, I share your concerns with having our voice as we know it to be carried through. BUT, I don’t think now is time to give up. We should ALL show up in masses, vote on the questionnaire, submit our resolutions, AND STATE OUR OPINIONS. You know if this was about Ferral cats, it would be standing room only again. We need the same #’s there to be heard.

On a more positive side, I see Walker has carried through good funding in other areas and trying to streamline costs to keep our things rolling.

BTW – For anyone else that will be there for Dodge County (Horicon Marsh International Education Center, Lower Auditorium, N7725 STH 28, Horicon, WI) I would be honored to be nominated for either of the two year or three year WCC positions. You would have my commitment to serve the WCC whole heartily for conservative and ethic uses of our resources. More importantly, I would not react to matters without educating myself or fielding more information. Thank you

Randy, If I was a dodge county resident I would without a doubt nominate you. I just read all 64 pages. There are some questions that i am not familiar with and do not feel comfortable voting on them. For example the one about opening closed sections of waterfowl hunting reserves and creating new ones in other locations. I feel only the people that are actually using that land should be voting on this. I don’t want to screw up hunting for them by voting on something I know nothing about. With that said can I leave the ones I don’t want to answer blank and still vote on the ones I want to? I didn’t see anywhere in this that stated what to do in this case.

Your exactly correct. If your unaffected or knowing, leave it blank. Unfortunately, too many people vote without knowing the local facts and it can skew the results. Example, when it comes to changing bag or size limits on lakes I don’t know, I leave them blank. I don’t know and don’t want to be THAT ONE
