Who's Out There???

Slow start this morning cranks turned a few but found them all tight to deep weed edge got 22 bass on the Ned rig today good day

I was also out yesterday on a north metro lake which started out slow with a few solid topwater strikes on a spook, and then moved in to the docks and found an absolute killer dock bite. Also learned that there was smallies in this little lake also. Found a couple good ones with this one coming in just under 4.

Dock skipping was still pretty good for this guy too, although not quite as good as it was in July. I think that since the water temps have come down some now, they aren’t as dialed in to seeking shade. In July the water was 80+ and now its 74. Hopefully the extreme heat of summer is behind us now.

Also, the pike have started their rampage. I caught soooooo many of those things in May/June before it got really hot but didn’t catch hardly any in July when the water was so warm. Well now that its down again, ol’ slimey is back.

Anyone know water temps in Woman lake area?

Not sure about the temps in your area around Hutchinson finding 70-74 degrees. I believe another 2 weeks of cool night weather the bass will start putting on the feed bag.

I fish top water all the way down to 50 degrees, and that’s usually October. There is a lot of fishing on top yet.

Same, especially for smallmouth. It can be as good as June.
