I’m not going to defend Stu, but we just had a similar flap with some Amish dog breeders. They were dunned in every way possible and had the hate protesters sitting on the roads in front of their homes/farms for several weeks. A local television station did a piece on the accusations and the reporter was allowed to walk thru the supposed puppy mill/animal torture chamber type of finger pointing to see first hand what the what was. She was joined by a usda inspector and a county health department inspector and they found absolutely nothing amiss. If someone had a bone to pick with Stu I think it would be awful easy to stir the so-called pot.
On the other side of the fence though, Stu makes some pretty off-the-wall statements about dna from dead dogs leading to a “super” breed. Something just doesn’t sound right about that and I wonder if Stu hasn’t lost a little mental acuity. If his mind is slipping he may well have things going on there that aren’t right but he thinks he’s doing the right thing. There’s a huge difference between doing something intentionally and doing something erroneously.
I’ve got to wait until things become clearer. Stu was always passionate about animals. This story just doesn’t sound like “that” Stu.
