Nice job all! I tried a few days ago for 5 hours and not one bite. Then went walleye fishing the other day and had a 10″ crappie hit a 4.5″ paddletail…..I’m on the board!

I have been out 3 times in the past week, on 3 different western Twin Cities lakes, 2 small lakes and Tonka. Didn’t really find the Crappies in any of them. Boated a few nice fish, but not much to show for all the time I spent on the water. Great time on the water, just couldn’t find the fish. Yesterday I was seeing up to 62 degree surface temps. fished shoreline out to 12 feet of water. I am either doing something wrong, or the lakes I have been on are not biting yet.

I want to get my little ones out to catch some crappies and would love a little feed back. I’m in the NE metro, so I was thinking of maybe trying Coon, Forest Lake or Bald Eagle? I’ve never fished them before, and I’m not looking for specific spots, just if I’d be wasting my time trying one of those lakes?

    Thanks

First open water crappie for me last night out of the new kayak. Sad as many times as I’ve been out hunting them this spring. Beautiful colors

Nice! Tough when its slow going and you read posts from people who are barely trying and they are pulling out limits-hang in there, been slow for me too

All those lakes are good for action with the nice weather they should be shallow again this weekend.

Had a good day on Gull. On the water by 7am. Limit by 10. I’m a bass guy, but it was fun. 56 degree water. Bobber jig and minnow. Most fun I’ve had in awhile. Pre-spawn. I forgot how much fun it cAN BE. Especially after after helping the kids with distance learning for the last 4 weeks. Advanced algebra is hard the 2nd time around.
