We were out in South Dakota from Friday to yesterday in the ice castle. Pretty tough bite, but fun and comfortable.

Just got back from a trip up to Upper Red. Temps were -26 plus wind chill and we had our most productive trip ever. 5 man limit over two days. The bite was not hot and heavy but we chipped away and even moved around with portables after two nights in a wheel house rental. It never felt that cold to us, probably because we were catching fish.

Yup! I like all the white canvas in the back ground of everyone’s pictures. Thermal or not…it’s frosty out there!

Great pic Mike! Not just the “frosty” canvas but your flasher backlighting that crappie. Gives it such a nice warm glow. peace

It was nice in my portable until the propane ran out. shock We had to back up quick after that. We still caught enough fish to have a great New Year ’s Eve dinner.
