Who uses a DI unit for ice fishing?

I have a 597 hd di and want to convert it to an ice pack. Heard that the di units aren’t that good when converted compared to the non di units. Anybody with experience using the di unit for ice?

I use a 798HD si-di with the ice ducer X19-20. Works great, great to have all my waypoints, lots of power enables it to shoot thru thick ice when searching for spots to start drilling.Works for me. Fish safe.

Does anyone know if that ice ducer works on the 798ci SI? I got it just before the HD came out and it’s been sitting in my closet unused for the last couple years.

Humminbird has 2 ice ducers. one is for the ice 35,45, and 55 it will not work the other one will. xi – 9 – 20 is what you need
