Anyone know who makes these shells for Browning? I was told Winchester makes Browning shotgun shells, but these have the exact same specs as Fiocchi High Velocity shells, right down to the nickel-plated shot. I haven’t had the chance to look at a box close up to see where they are made.

Allegedly all Browning ammo is loaded by Winchester in the US to Brownings designs and specifications.

Fiocchi is still an independent company and I’ve never heard or read of a link between the two companies.

Certainly if Browning was looking for a good game cartridge to copy, the Fiocchi Golden Pheasant would be one of the best IMO.

Agreed. I would think that Fiocchi would not like that Browning was copying their shell exactly. That’s why I was wondering if Browning had made a deal with Fiocchi. With high velocity pheasant shells being so hard to find, like everything else, I’d be willing to give these a try.

Winchester (Olin) makes all Browning ammo. They are all under the same umbrella. Olin, Winchester, Browning and ultimately FN Herstal. Winchester is technically owned by Olin and licensed through FN. Miroku is thrown in there for good measure, not sure what stake they still have in the venture anymore.

Anyone have any experience with this shell? I picked up a box today in anticipation of another tough year finding the equivalent Fiocchi shells.
