Of course I sold my boat so that does complicate things more than a little.

Sold your boat? What the deuce?

I sell my boat every year or two. I think in the last 20 years I’ve had close to 15 boats. I plan to order another Skeeter in the next few weeks.

Is IDO becoming an ice fishing only experience? Sometimes ya just gotta go with what Mother Nature gives you. Lemonade out of lemons…

Of course not. We air 26 shows a season. IF mother nature allows we strive to run 13 ice and 13 open water shows a season. In the spring and fall we do open water shows. In the winter we do ice shows. It’s December.

The life of a wealthy host. Must be doing something right! toast

In all seriousness, though…I look forward to another season. I’m sure if ice fails to show itself, there are many boaters that would love to float you and your crew around and absorb a great deal of knowledge on the side.

I’m hoping to float a little myself this weekend since ice just isn’t here yet. With the forecast next week, I don’t believe we will be seeing walkable ice on pools 5/5a anytime soon. I have a new to me boat that I just completed some work on and am dying to try it out so enjoy and thanks for the inspiration each week!

Stop your crying, how do you think we feel over here in Ohio where we’ll be lucky to get fishable ice at this point! And that is on small lakes/ponds, optimistic about Lake Erie for sure!
