This is ridiculous. I’ve tried Fleet Farm, Joe’s, Cabelas, and Gander. Can’t find a box of shotgun shells anywhere. Does anyone have a lead? Online?

It bad. Unacceptable and really bad. Swing through your local Walmart frequently and you may score like I did.

Gun Broker (online) looks to have shells. I have no clue if they are priced right or not though..

    Gun Broker prices.
Not unless you want to gouged really bad.
They have some but everything I wanted was 3 to 4 times the normal price!
I can’t justify it but I see it getting sold.

Scheel’s in EP had some options a week or two ago. And someone mentioned a local small shop, Cabin Fever, would take your name and set aside a box or two, so that may be another option for you. You could always post what you are looking for on here too, and someone may have a box or two they’d sell you.

Scheels in EP has a bunch of Kent 12ga 2 3/4 6 shot pheasant loads. Wouldn’t be my first choice for pheasants but better than nothing

Was that today walleyeguy? I was there yesterday afternoon and they had zero lead in 12ga except buckshot.

I probably have enough to scrape by this year. But right now I am looking for waterfowl loads. 2, 3, or 4 steel

this is strictly my opinion, but there’s probably a reason they had Kent shells.

My brother gave me a box a few years back, now I know why. There junk in my mind.

After the fact he admitted it.

What problems did you have with them? I’ve gone through probably eight boxes of their bismuth shells and I’ve had no issues so I’m just curious.

You hit the jackpot, wonder how long it lasted. It’s right by my work so I’ve gone there three times in the last week and there’s been nothing but lots of people looking.

One thing I thought was funny is how much 28 gauge they have. Seems like probably a lifetime supply to me lol

if my memory is correct they were lead but some wouldn’t fire or eject from a pump.

All I know I won’t touch them with a ten foot pole. Like I said both I and my brother had issues. Maybe a bad batch??????

I ran 200 Kent trap loads through last year and never had any issues. Except… Like most cheap target rounds, they were dirty as sin. But that problem is not unique to Kent.

But still, a good cleaning is required after running 100 or more of pretty much any target load these days. I won’t call them “cheap” because nothing’s cheap these day. I just paid almost $10 a box for 20 gauge target loads for my son. In fact, it was over $10 with tax.

This ended up being the winner for me. 100 round box for $45 and they still had some left. Good score, thank you

It was Kent fast lead at scheels. We grabbed 4-5 boxes yesterday around 5pm and there was still a ton left. Meant to post on here but forgot.

As far as the quality- I’ve never shot kent shells but seem to recall hearing good things about them. Online ratings/reviews look good too

I have not shot them in years but 1 box I had I opened 1 shell and the bbs were all disformed. Maybe they are better now.

Our local Walmart has some. I picked up a box of Remington Express Long range 2 3/4 #5 12 ga. a couple days ago. They had 4s and 6s too. Also 20 ga. They also had a similar load under the Federal Brand in similar shot sizes. I always used to shoot Federal High Power, but they ceased that production name/line several years ago. Wish I knew if these different branded Federals are the same. I think they call them High Brass Game Loads. Stats are similar to the Remington Express. They also have rifle ammo. .243, .270, .30-06, .308, 350 Legend, .30-30. And I have seem the 400 or 500 round .22 LR packs too, for under $20.
