What do you think of them if you have one?

I’ve seen complaints about not heating fast enough when windy without the wind skirt but I haven’t experienced this yet.

What I like about them is it’s fast set up, only uses a quart of oil, really fast clean up and tear down. Only three paper towels needed to clean up an put back into it’s travel case!

What I don’t like about regular fryers is the amount of oil needed for one meal. It just seems like a waste to toss out all that oil after one dinner. Then the clean up seems like it takes forever with breading stuck onto the basket.

Just wondering how many of these are out there and your thoughts if you have one?

Mike I haven’t had a problem with the heating at all. In fact I’ve been surprised at how fast it is, but with only a quart to heat up I guess I shouldn’t be.

I’ll also say I haven’t had it in the wind either. The one day there was a stiff breeze I was in between campers and out of the wind.

Love mine for all of the reasons you described.

Didn’t like the price tag but hope to make up for it in oil
    consumption savings.

I’m working on having them for sale at Everts, but that could be a bit.
I called 612-810-8550, left a message and they called back within 30 minutes (but I was on the water by then). There were a couple people looking for them in the Red Wing area.

Not sure who called me back but he was pleasant.

Frattallones on Weir Drive had some at one point.

I bought mine at Fish Lake Bait in Harris.

I’ve had mine for over a year–works great for frying for 2-4 people. Have had no issues with heating–the only thing I wish it had was a temperature gauge to make sure it doesn’t get too hot. peace

Agreed EJ. When we were fryin shrimp Ski brought over his digital lazer thermometer. Now that worked nice but not everyone will spend $50. on one of those.

Normally I just dribble a drop of water in the oil. Close but not perfect.

While that looks pretty cool,You don’t have to do this…

Use a good peanut oil and put a coffee filter in a funnel and strain it back into the container…..Like new…. grin

They work pretty nice. Not sure why people throw away oil after one use though, I use mine many times before it gets trashed.

Same here. I use sunflower oil or safflower oil. High smoke point means that it’ll last thru more heat cycles.

I get maybe 5 times out of before it starts to smoke too much.

I have one that I got at Reeds in Walker 2 years ago. It works great. Haven’t used it when it’s been really windy though. I thought it heated up pretty fast.

If a guy had a small wok pan and a gas grill you could put the wok pan directly on the burner and support the sides with the other grill grates. But that would require a large grill.😄
