I am running a helix 7si and need help getting the transducer adjusted right on my lund boat, I cant seam to pick up fish even at slow speeds, and i start losing bottom any faster then 10 mph give or take. Are there any shops that can set this up for me so I can maybe start using the electronics I paid for?

You can sure give us a buzz at Skeeter Boat Center here in Ramsey (so not to far out of your way) And I would have you ask for Tony and if he is here he would be more than happy to at least take a look.

Have you played around with your chart speed? Humminbird SI normally works best less than 10 mph. Your imaging speed will depend on the turbulence that occurs around the back of the boat.

Read this, realizing they’re selling a product, but there’s a lot of good info.

Hopefully, you’re using a mounting board so you can move the ducer without drilling more holes in the boat….

SBC will take care of you but you might want to adjust your expectations. Specifically about keeping bottom at speed with an SI transducer.

Everything I’ve read or watched recommended mounting these a bit higher so they won’t get knocked off the boat(rock/trailer/etc). This makes it impossible to read bottom at speed which is a choice not a malfunction.

ummm, I learned that lesson the hard way on my first boat.

If youre willing to mess with it a bit, its worth the time and effort.
