Which side of the lake?

If a person was thinking of getting a seasonal site in a resort which side of the lake would you look at and why?

Second question is what are the seasonal rates? Are they pretty consistent around the lake?

East. North east would be preferred.
Lots of options to fish. Some good bars.
Garrison area if you want some town stuff close by.

    No idea on rates.

I have a site near the casino but wish I was nearer Garrison.
I fish the smaller lakes as much or more than I do Mille Lacs.
I think our resort is less than most but it doesn’t have amenities either.
I do think finding a place that allows pets is a little tougher as well.

No pets, no kids. Just would need something with a deep launch.

Is there any seasonal places to avoid?

    Yes…
How close do you want to be to the water.
Go take a look at some and/or pm me with questions about some areas.

West/Southwest side, most of the wind is out of the south during the summer. It’s an easier drive and has more amenities.

If I was retired I wouldn’t base my decision on the wind.

Boat landing or do you want a lift?
A lift is great if you have a boat that can take the waves otherwise launch out of which ever side is calmer.
