    Hello all,

Which is the Seaguar line that you prefer for leader material with moving baits like chatterbaits, swim jigs, cranks, etc.? Is this the same line you’d recommend for leaders for non-moving presentations like dropshots and ned rigs?

I’m thinking specifically about their blue label vs. AbrazX vs. “premier leader” (greenish label) vs. gold label. Maybe the best ones are just the most expensive. )

    Thanks!

I prefer the Blue Label one for moving lures that are prone to getting snipped by pike. It has the abrasiveness to hold up to those teeth. I was using it in 20 pound test and I may move up to 25 or 30 if I can tie knots with it.

I use Invisix for finesse soft plastic applications. Generally those types of presentations do not attract as many pike bites. Sometimes the pike are so aggressive and plentiful there’s really nothing you can do though.

I’ve had great luck with both the Gold Label and the STS Trout / Steelhead leader material from Seaguar. I fish the same leader for both moving and non moving applications. I know others who have also had Great luck with the blue label

Seagaur flouro leader material. Not straight flouro. I run 10 to 15lbs. I can catch many pike with out being bit off. If I’m targeting bass or walleyes I run 10, if I want pike I run 15. I caught many pike on 10.

There was a thread about this last summer. I changed to Seaguar Blue Label and really like it. Easier to tie and better retention. The Seaguar website has knot videos. Lots of lube and tighten slowly. They even recommended chapstick. I use spit
