Wanting to get a St Criox rod that would be used for trout fishing with a spinning reel. Will cast small Mr Twister and floating raps. What should I get?

Either the Panfish Series 7’0″ Light action or the Trout Series 7’0″ Light action is what I would recommend. They both have a 5 year warranty now, but the panfish rod is less expensive by around $20. Pair it with a decent 1000 series reel.

A 7 foot rod may be too long if you are stream trout fishing from shorelines.

I got a 6′ lite action St. Croix Avid that i use for fishing trout on small streams in NE Iowa and it works great.
