It time to update my 17’ explorer SS 2005. Which Lund in the current line up is comparable?
If you’re looking to stay with a 17′ boat the 1775 Impact would be my choice. Alumacraft competitor would also be another good choice. I have friends that own both models and they are very solid boats.

I am expecting to get an Adventurer 1775 this spring. I think the Impact looks like a wider boat with an additional livewell and more storage, but it wont fit in the 3rd stall of my garage. The Adventurer is 1′ narrower, a little lighter and faster with similar motors. I think both look like good boats.
I own a 1775 Impact w/115hp and could not be happier with the way it fishes and fits in my garage perfectly.

Do you ever wish you went up to the 150?
I dont believe the 1775 Impact is rated for a 150, you would need to go to the 1875 Impact
Actually I thought it WAS rated for the 150
I have the 2019 1775 Impact SS ( just means and extra seat)
I have the 115 Mercury.
I do not need alot of speed.
Going across Rainy Lake in Canada with my brother in law and all our gear I can go about 37-38 mph.
Plenty fast for our needs.
Fishes for bass, panfish and walleyes great, tons of storage, wide beam. LOVE the full windshield.
A perfect boat for me. Another 11″ on the 1875 wouldn’t serve me any better.
My two cents
Only rated for 125hp, but with the 115hp I can do 44mph and have good hole shot.

I have a similar situation in that I have the same boat 2007 model and am looking for the same information. I’m trying to determine if I should keep some of my current electronics and electric trolling motor.
For everyone on the chat:
What type of electronics do you use?
Which electric trolling motor and size? Does it work well for the 1775?
Anything else you would like to share?
on my 2019 1775 Impact:
I have a Terrova 80# and 60″
A humminbird 12″ CHIRP DI on the bow with the transducer mounted on the trolling motor and a humminbird 9″ SI on the dash.
24 volt system.
I can get 8-10 hours on the local metro lakes on the trolling motor and about 6-8 up on Rainy lake when it is windy ( if not I get pretty much the same amount of time)
I use Spot lock occasionally but not for hours on end. I am typically trolling bays, weedlines etc looking for bass. Usually two of us in the boat.
My set up works GREAT.
Only thing I might add is more battery for my graphs.
-1775 Impact XS, model year 2018.
-115 Merc Pro XS. Hull is rated for 125, Merc doesn’t make one so 115 Pro XS was the best option for me. Yes, it’s worth the extra few hundred bucks to upgrade to the Pro XS if you ask me. Would also be pretty slick with a yamaha vmax SHO 115 if you ask me.
-Garmin 93SV on the dash
-Helix 7 on the bow with the HDSI ducer strapped to the terrova
-Terrova 80, 60″ shaft
-tops out 44mph (used to get 46, idk why I lost a bit but probably a couple of things combined).
-fits in garage, barely. I leave it outside with cover on and wrapped in a tarp.
-small enough to get out on small water, big enough to survive big water.
-use a 2×4 instead of a transom saver, there’s a thread about this somewhere
-My boat is perfect. There are many like it but this one is mine.
FWIW I think impact is truly Lund’s most versatile model. While I REALLLLYYY want a Tyee 1875, the impact is outstanding and clocks in at the correct price point for many of us.
