Which Lithium battery for flasher – Where is the best deal

So now that I missed the great deal on Marcum 12ah lithium ion batteries at Scheels sale last weekend. What is the best battery to get and where is the best place to find it. I’m sure this discussion has been discussed here in the past, but want the most current updated info possible. If anyone is finding any great deals out there please share. Since the battery in my Vexilar needs replacing this year, I figured I might as well jump on the Lithium wagon this time.

My new flx28 has vexilar lithium and that thing has really impressed me.

I think generally all the lithium are very good, but I have only personally used my Dakota Lithium 10AH and very impressed with it on my LX7. Id definitely get another one.

Marcum Brute 10AH is about the best bang for your buck…they typically go on sale alot, sometimes down to 50% off….

I called scheels about the Deal they had on them recently. They said they were totally out of them. It was a special deal to get rid of their supply and they will not be getting or carrying them anymore. I’ll have to see if I can source them someplace else locally.

If you’re just using it for a Vex, I would go light as possible. Flashers don’t draw many amps. Here’s a link to FishUsa clearance deal on an Amped Outdoors 6 ah LiFePO4 that weighs 1.8 lbs. If you watch deals FishUsa is having you can get them even cheaper. I ordered 2 as back ups the other day during a buy any St Croix rod and receive 25% the rest of your order. Amped all day long. Best customer service in the biz. I think I have 7 of them now.

I have a bass pro Li 12 v but am looking at getting a Norsk they have two USB ports which is pretty cool and they are at a very reasonable price.

I think I have 2 Brute batteries at home. I’m out of town til Sunday but PM me Monday if you are interested. The 10ah used to run my livescope for 8 hours….it’ll run a vex for a couple days.

yeah, if you can’t find the Brute deal anymore, Amped would be my next choice (I own several of them) Their new 15AH ($130 with charger) is a great buy!

There’s a reason they blew them out. The amped 12 has been replaced with a 15ah.

Looks like the vex lithium battery is now $80. I’m sure you can find some deals upcoming on them. Nice thing about the Vexilar lithium is that you don’t need to buy a special charger for it. The Vexilar V-420 charges both the Vexilar lithium and sla batteries.

That’s interesting about it being able to use the same charger. I believe I have a few of those around. Thanks for that Info.

I run a amped 12ah battery on my flx28 will go at least 3 full days of fishing on a single charge. I’ve never tried to go longer. I saw scheels had the amped 15ah today for $110. Plus you will need a lithium charger
