Which forced air furnace for enclosed trailer/ice house?

I recently bought a 7 by 12 enclosed trailer and I’m in the process of making it usable as a ice house as well. Plan on using it mostly just for day trips with the wife and kid but would like to use it for a few overnight trips each year. I was going to use a old furnace out of an old motor home but didn’t work how I wanted. Going to buy a new furnace but there are a lot to choose from? How many btu should I get and are certain brands better? Also I thought I seen atwood furnace can be mounted vertical which would be nice to save room on the floor. Any suggestions from people that have done the same thing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Depending on how well insulated you make it, you want 12,000-30,000 BTU’s.

These cheap China diesel heaters are gaining popularity right now too. They’re vented and forced air.

I’m going to put one in my shack as a backup to the forced air propane.

You can mount as large of a fuel tank as you would like on the outside of the shack.

If it would be me I would put in a Empire 15000 direct vent.
I had one in my 12″ fish house all it is is a burner and heat exchanger. No fan or battery to deal with.

I’d love to hear follow up if you do this. I have wanted a vented system that I could remove – looks like this could easily work through a window.

A wall mount direct vent like fleet sells will free up floor space and like the Empire (great heaters) will operate without running a generator all night. Both are speedy, watch EBay and Craigslist.
