At the lake for the weekend and the image shows the only safe accessible ice. Where do you set up for walleyes. Clear water, not much rock in this area. Dark red section up top is reeds. Some sand, some muckier sand along the shore lines. Thought it would be fun to get others ideas.

Lake itself gets deep, Cisco’s present as well as small perch for walleyes to eat.

Find the deepest side of the weedline and sit there from dusk onward

From about where it says Cedar Lake to that inside turn where it flattens out between the 11 and the 22. Also the other side by the 26 and 25.

We were thinking of that inside turn as well. You can get an occasional eye on the steep break along the bottom of the image.

Fished the lake almost my whole life and with the exception of a few early ice situations, never fish this close to the house for eyes. Because, you know, good spots can’t be close to the house haha.

I’m trying to look at the positives since we can’t get to 99.5% of the lake. But it’s kind of a fun challenge.

That little turn where the 11 is. Id drill it out along weeds and out into that small flat and see whats there.

Walleye? I should help by giving you very detailed advice-you could then do the opposite!

That’s like me with stocks. I buy, price goes down. I sell, price goes up. I stick to mutual funds now haha.

I think we are going to give it one more night of ice making and check ice in the morning. Then probably scout the inside turn area. I’ll update the results. Thanks

Fish it at first and last light with tip ups or set lines staying quiet.
Mid day I’d run around that same area looking for panfish

I live on the lake there’s no way I would go on the ice. The bay I live on the ice is real black. And the main lake is wide open

Yes it’s pretty sketchy. Probably going to sit it out.

What app are you using? I like what I see.

Yup humminbird app. Did get out yesterday but had to be very close to shore to stay on safe ice. Was on the bottom of a steep break close to the cabin. No luck at all. A couple fish marked but that’s it. Probably should have fished shallower. We were just happy to be out. Hopefully we get some ice soon on the rest of the lake.
