Where to put in?

    Looking to take the family up HWY 61 and my son wants to hit Superior for Lakers. What is the best spot to put in to chase some trout? How is the Lutsen area?

    Honestly, you’ll find lake trout anywhere on superior. Especially right now. If you’re already up in a specific area there’s no harm in fishing that area. If I were heading up there for the day I might just hit up two harbors. There’s no wrong answer.

    Mcquade or knife river now. Fish are in top 20′. Only 50 degrees out of KR saturday

    Right out of two harbors there are a couple of humps . Easy pickings. All were caught on vibratos

    Now that looks like fun…vertical jigging for trout! What type if set up do you run for that, MH rod with 25lb mono?

    I just had my walleye rod 7’ med, with 20lb. Braid, floro leader.
