Trying to decide where to mount the black box. The rear starboard compartment that holds the starting battery is high on the list but wonder if the battery gasses off any fumes that would do damage to electronics? There are diagnostic LEDs on the unit so you want easy access to check them if there is a problem. I plan to have the head unit rear port side near my kicker. There is a storage compartment on the port side that would have room if I move some stuff around. The boat is a Lund 1875 Impact. Where have others put theirs?
