Big boat is still in storage but would love to fish-would love to fish for bass but where is it open in by the metro (100mile radius) or I would fish for anything-don’t care at this point
    Thanks

As far as I know pool 2 is the only place where you can legally target bass this early…

Mosquito Lagoon. Swing by my house first.

The Croix near Osceola. Might be a little early for white bass. Have got in on some early season suckers up that way. Even if the fish are not biting you will have the entire river to yourself and miles of water to explore. Very nice area to boat.

Pool 2 is moving pretty good right now….might be a challenge hitting any bass spots in a small boat. If you are good with the motor and keeping in position you might be ok. Water temp was 38 yesterday. Not sure if there is a bass bite when it’s that cold.

Look for warm water and current breaks. Still a little cool for them to get going. Water temps in the 40s will be better.

Pool 2 for smallies. Get yourself a outkast tackle juice jig or a square bill crankbait flip the jig in the trees and find the rip rap with the crank bait. And if your launching under the 494 bridge don’t overlook that shoreline for bass.

Missouri. Just kidding…I know you’re talking MN. But, I took my daughter to Springfield, MO to check out Missouri State University 2 weeks ago and the number of bass boats I saw behind vehicles and crossing several arms of Truman Lake between KC and Springfield whet my appetite for open water. A visit to Bass Pro made me salivate even more.
