FWIW, I personally like right center field. There are only 4 rows of seats and has a roof over you, just in case its a wet day.
We love the dugout seats. Pricey but great. 3rd base line/side has the best view with the city skyline behind it. Lower left field is fairly cheap, good view, and many many chances at a fowl ball…it tends to be a fun section! Legends club is not worth the money IMO but being it’s early May, it might not be bad as it has nice indoor seating.
But I sat Champions Club a few years back and well…yeah, nothing beats that!
They’re all good seats imo, the Skyline View seats are cool for their look over Downtown. Left Field Bleachers are probably the best value, close to the field and cheap. Either line is really good too.
I’ve yet to have a “bad” seat there and I’ve sat in the very last row wayyyyy up top for a Kenny Chesney concert. Other than the wind beating my neck to oblivion, it was still a good view. But I’ll agree with Bob, dugout seats are where it’s at. In fact, I proposed to my now wife in the dugout seat area.
Obviously, sections will be price dependent. The closer you get behind home plate (whether lower or upper levels) the more of the field you can view. The 3rd base side of home plate gives you a nice view of the plaza/downtown skyline.
How much are you looking to spend per seat, Dave? That would help narrow it down cause some of the lower bowl, especially in between the bases, gets spendy.
Would also say that there really aren’t “bad” seats, just some are better than others. FWIW I try to avoid the 300 level seats, feel like the 200 level throughout the outfield gives a pretty good bang vs buck, and 100% agree with Werm that The Deck (sections S – V, formerly Skyline View) are my favorite seats in the place. Good luck with what you decide.
Found a couple pics for reference. One from the right field foul line and an after game fireworks show from the upper deck 3rd base side. Gives you an idea of the sight line from 3rd base.
I enjoy being in the sun, especially on those cooler days so outfield is where it’s at. Get some right off the deck and you don’t have far to go at all for beer, bathrooms, hotdogs, beer.
You Guys Are Awesome !!
I love the input !!
And FWIW…. haha I didn’t know what that meant.. had to ask
My favorite place is in the corner of the (Best Buy?) standing area on the main level in left field. Awesome view and much better than sitting for 3+ hours. Only issue is if you leave for a beer that spot will get stolen so have the wife stay behind to save the spot.
In May I’d look for something on the third base line which should be warmer because it gets afternoon sun, and also look for something covered because it seems to rain a lot in May.
I had season tickets for a few years and it was funny watching the big screen between innings at an afternoon game where the left field/third base line side would be in t-shirts and pants and the right field/first base side would be in coats with stocking caps and gloves because of the temperature difference.
If it were August, I’d recommend something on the first base side. If it’s really hot, feel free to move up a deck to catch more wind to help cool off.
6:10 PM game the sun won’t be much of a factor…If this year is like last year you should have plenty of options available, and most of the scalpers were selling for below face value.
May 19th, Mpls sunset is 8:39pm. Twilight runs until 9:14, or about until the game ends.
Third base itself should be in the shade for much of the game but the left field line and bleachers should have some sun for a bit of the game.
Budweiser deck FTW!
No bad seats in the place. Could be cold in may though. The third base dugout seats have a protected bar and bathrooms underneath. My wife loved that when we went to an early season game.
Dave B, that does look like a great view, until the game starts and it’s the umpire and catchers’ butts that you’re viewing instead.
One of my favorite to watch the game is as close to behind home plate, but up in the second or third level. However, for the whole experience, I usually by inexpensive field view seats and then walk around the stadium and stand at the drink rails (they are everywhere) That way I don’t feel like I’m wasting money on a seat that I’m not sitting in.
One thing to keep in mind is that any seat on the 3rd base side and the outfield will be significantly warmer and more sunny than the 1st base side. I find it too warm usually.
Finally, getting under the overhang of the second deck is super confining in my opinion. It’s great when it’s raining, but any other time, it feels like you are inside.
Enjoy!

Dave’s planned Brewers game could be different, lots of us Sconnies coming across the border for these games.
I don’t think there are many “BAD” seats at TF, there are foul-line sections on the 100 level of either side of the diamond where you can’t see the entire field. That bugs me, personally. For that much money I want to be able to see the right fielder make the play in the corner.

Sitting up a handful of rows is cheaper and a better view. It does get hot down there during a day game in the summer.
This is the desktop wallpaper on the work computer. From season 1 at the new stadium, when there where trees in the outfield.

Agree. Brewers games tend to get a good draw. Even when the Twins were losing 90+ games you could expect 35,000 fans (plus/minus) for a Brewers game.

Dave…rooting for the Twins or the Brewers?
Dave, can you say “free tickets? How about box seats behind the plate?
Come pulling in on your airboat and tell them you are the new bullpen ride.
Little Spam & Grainbelt wrap and you will be rockin’ season tickets!
Legends deck right below the broadcasters dick n Bert , hands down my favorite view and experience at target field
Here’s another option, one I perfected a few years back when they weren’t very good.
BUY the SRO tickets. (Standing room only, or the cheapest seats you can find)
Pre-game – go into Hrbek’s bar and grill, sit on the patio, have some food/drink.
1st Inning – move to CF food vendors. Here you have 2-3 really good food options, tables with umbrellas to block sun, and a view of the field. Spend 1-2 innings here.
3rd Inning – make your way over to the LF foul line, 2nd deck. There is a bar here that you can stand and watch the game. Great views of the park, DT skyline, and a fun atmosphere.
4 -5th inning – Head to the upper deck, right behind homeplate, and have a couple Two Gingers while watching the game in an open air environment behind homeplate. Also a great view of the park and fun atmosphere.
6-7th inning – head to Barrios in lower LF, more drinks, open air, ballfield views, etc.
8-9 inning – catch the last few innings in the SRO spaces in lower deck either behind homeplate or down the foul lines. Great views. And all that for about $15 per ticket.
I’m becoming less and less about sitting in some smallish, uncomfortable seat, with people tripping all over me trying to come in and out vs. moving around the park and having fun along the way.

Honestly, anywhere. Just figure out how much you want to spend and get a ticket that cost that much. Since its a Saturday, still early in the season (team/fans have hope), and a neighboring state team, you might not find $5 tickets. But whether you get the cheapest or most expensive, you’re going to have good seats.
This is awesome people !!!!
I love all the options !!
I just may have to do a couple games !!!
Thanks to everyone for your personal experiences!!

It may be different if you don’t live down here but nothing beats a twins game in a nice summer day. We love buying tickets the day of knowing it’s going to be a nice (weather wise) night to catch a game. You can usually find tickets for cheap and like mentioned, not a bad seat in the house. But if I was out of town and make a game once year, I’d go dugout seats or better (private food/drink court AND restrooms)! Oh-ever since we hosted the all-star game, security has been a biatch. Secret tip is avoid the plaza for entry. The sky way level thru the parking ramp can be fast or the back side opposit of the light rail station have fast lines.
Herbks bloody Mary’s. Murray’s steak sandwich.
And all that for about $15 per ticket.
Except… All that food and drink comes at ballpark prices. Sounds like that $15 SRO ticket could have been somewhere around $60 (or more) when you were done.
