Where does this hose go?

Motor help 30hp yamaha 4 stroke. just to the left of the oil dipstick I found this hose unattached for the life of me I cannot find where it connects please help. Is it just a vent hose?

I have no idea, but if there is no obvious connection I’m interested to see if it is some sort of vent or overflow when the smart people respond.

I’m guessing here, but maybe a fuel drain for the rail?

Looks like it has a screw that could be a valve to drain something??

Vents almost always point down.

I’d have to agree with the above. Open the screw to drain off sediments into the open line. It even appears there may be a bit of liquid in the hose right now. (maybe not too)

From what I can tell it looks like the end was never on anything. I’m a little nervous just to crack the bottom screw? Could I goof something up?

Looks the same as this which says it’s to drain the “vapor separator” whatever that is

I think you are right. I found a hole looks like a hole that goes in the bottom of the cowling. I put it in there I did not see the hose nipple like on this motor but will check again. Sure has me nervous.

It looks like it needs to go back in the the black tubes

OK why I did not think of this is beyond me called the dealer said it’s OK let it hang loose. SO I believe this is solved.
