I have been sitting on this post for about a month now, in light of the trucker thread I will now post how I truly feel about where I see America today.
Sadly we have coddled too many for much too long, in a world where today everything that is wrong is made right and vice versa.
Go ahead and hate me for how I feel, I really dont care what you think of me, My grandfather, my father, and many of my family members shed their own blood for this country so you can feel that way, enjoy that right and I will enjoy my rights as well.
I will ask you to join me at their graves when I weep for what they did for those rights and dare you to say, they made that choice not me.
Where did America go?
I opened a business two years ago Dec. 9th, mind you I am almost sixty years old when many of you are either looking forward to retirement
very soon or planning for it many years down the road, I am just beginning to build my life, this is my final hooray.
I am doing so because I got tired of working for the man, subject to his absolute greed no matter the cost to the customer.
IE, taking the cheap route when safety is concerned for the owner or those on the road with them.
Or knowing full well something wont last as hoped costing folks big money in a few hours/miles of use and costing more than they could spend in the first place.
When I opened, I vowed to my God and to myself I would never cheat anyone, I would never put profit ahead of a customers satisfaction, I would be fair,
treat the customer as if I had known them all of my life or were family.
I would work until the job was done and walk the customers through everything I had done and why I had done it.
Much to our elation, we soon became more busy than we could ever hope for, we are blessed beyond blessed and it is so nice to see a customer walk in happy to
see us even though there will be a cost to them at the end of the day.
Each and every customer has understood that parts were getting hard to come by new and had no problem if I could repair what they had to get them back on the water
until the new part came in and I would put the new part on not charging them for the extra labor, within reason that is, they still understood.
In the beginning of my venture, accessing parts was not a problem but it became worse as time went by, folks started getting sick and not going to work.
My wife and I got sick in Feb. of 2020, Dr’s had no clue as to what it was and told us it was a new virus that would last several days and go away on its own.
It was the worst cold I had ever had, headaches, chills, fever, sweats, coughing fits with no end in sight, 20 days of pure hell.
We got over it but we never missed one day of work, when you work for yourself, thats how it is, damn the rod bolts full speed ahead.
Funny you know, the Dr’s never once mentioned worrying about infecting anyone else, hell, I grew up on a farm and its common knowledge that herd immunity is the best thing that can happen to a flock.
Get everyone/thing sick and natural immunity will take over and you have a stronger immune system and it is passed on to the offspring, its how nature works.
Yes, Sadly, some will die, but most will survive, it is how it is among mammals ( which we are ), fish, birds, you name it, percentages are percentages period.
Parts access is somewhat better today because hard working folks are seeing to it that we can get them, we do have manufacturers telling us it will take over a year for things to become available and its on a first come first served basis.
Then in August of this year, I wanted to fly for an hour or so, sadly a temp inversion caused me to crash my airplane into the ground at 60 MPH.
I crawled out of the wreckage with a lot of severe injuries, I only missed one full day of work and several half days of work but I still showed up, Farm boy tough is all I can say.
Now we stand at todays threshold and our building was hit by this past wed. storm, today I find out it will take 17-20 weeks to get replacement doors for two of our
three bays,WTF!!!
Sheet metal prices, worker shortage, too many storms, insurance taking too long to settle, the list goes on!!!
In the land called the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA we stoop and bow to so called doctors, government, a disease?? yet we built tanks, planes, bombs, guns, ammunition, faced our hurdles, beat the enemy to a pulp and won two world wars but we cant
overcome this??
Seriously?? Ya, I get it, people will die, it happens every damn day for whatever reason, IF you do the research on your own and dig for the TRUTH, death number percentages are no greater than any other year.
I am sick of living in the land of pussies, pull your damn belt up tight, put your shoulder to the load and realize you will not live forever!!
If you live in fear of everyday life, I feel for you, really I do, do you think just because I crashed my airplane I wont fly again?
You are crazy if you think I wont, when spring gets here I will be one of the first to fly around the patch.
I bring up flying because of this, and it applies to the world today, I was taught by a very professional instructor, never fly an airplane with an X in the tail number or fly an airplane that still has paint on the rudder pedals.
WHAA??? for those who dont get it, never fly anything unproven, and this applies to any vaccines without years of study.
I will never trust a gubbiment who allows living babies to be unmercifully carved out of the womb,nor will I ever trust a gubbiment that puts millions of dollars into the pharmacy companies.
I will never trust a gubbiment who pays people to stay home to avoid something they created, and this can be done with proof.
I want MY AMERICA BACK!!
