i see that cabelas and gander mountain are sold out and so is otter themselves. i called thorn bros and they have some for sale but i wont have the money to buy one until after christmas. getting nervous one wont be around at that time. Anyone else know of places that have the otter lodge 1200 for sale around the twin cities?

All places that I know had them at one point this year. Worth a call to all of them when you are ready. And you can find the best price that way too.
The L&M in Park Rapids had some last week for $799. I know it’s not the cities but that would be a good excuse to go fishing on Leech Lake, it’s a half hour from Walker 
Just talked to the wife about getting one and she gave me the old, “i support you if you want this but do you really think…” a.k.a. if you buy this ill give you hell for the next 6 months. is it worth it? hmmmmm im tempted to say yes it is cause i hear that thermol insulate is the bees knees…
Just throwing it out there to take a look at the XT650 as an option as well. I think you would be surprised how well it performs and will save you a little money.

I have the lodge 1200 and it is very nice. I looked around comparing prices and quality. I settle for the otter even though it cost more. I paid $850 out the door. Best time to buy is at the ice show though

That’s funny you mention that Cycle, I bought myself some Ice Armor bibs and wrapped them up to my wife. She’ll see the humor in it, after 28 years of marriage there’s not much that upsets us.
Runnings in Austin Mn has one on the floor set up! Seen it today.
As of sunday Fleet Farm in hudson wisconsin had one on the floor. The hudson store was still putting ice fishing stuff out so that could be a good sign on their stock availability.
