Where are you fishing walleye the last weekend of inland walleye?

Anyone taking advantage of the warm weather this last weekend of MN inland walleye fishing?

Screw those walleye we want big crappie.

Lol! This Wheelhouse guy will be out of Hunters this weekend hoping for a slot fish or two and attending the perch extravaganza. Mayhaps even keep a big perch if there around.

Saturday at my girls dance competition. Only in St.Peter so hopefully can get out for a bit before and after somewhere.

Have you guys been getting slot fish ? That’s one thing I have t stumbled on up there yet. I’ll admit i haven’t tried very hard we typically opt elsewhere for good walleye bite but Mille lacs sure is fun when those walleye are on the feed bags.

Hoping to get out on Big Sandy on Saturday for whatever bites. Could be walleye, crappie, or perch. Looks like it’s going to be an awfully nice weekend to do some hole hopping!

I’ll be out. Haven’t decided where yet. Probably somewhere in the metro

Not really I go to Mille Lacs to catch a buzz and hang with the group. We have caught a couple but totally random it seems. We did catch a pile of tiny eyes last time out there, so future is looking good.

We will be out chasing walleyes for the last weekend of state waters season but we will be fishing Rainy so lots of time left. Derby day on Saturday so hopefully our little girl can connect with one.

For the first winter ever, I spent more time chasing crappies than walleyes. I have three local spots I hope to check out this weekend.

Hitting Monticello smallies tomorrow. I can fish pool 2 walleyes whenever

I’ve never seen the thrill of pike fishing. I avoid those things like the plague. All they are good for is snipping off jigs and other tackle and killing other valuable game fish. The bigger they are the more they stink and the bigger mess they make. Yuck!

I’ve been chasing Great Lakes trout since ice formed but this weekend it is perch time. I had my fill of ice walleyes by early January which is the case most every winter. Good luck if you getting after em!

You and me both. Virtually nothing but a nuisance these days.

I don’t specifically target them, ever. And yet, each season I manage to catch close to 100 by accident while bass or muskie fishing.

I think they stink worse in the middle of summer when the water is bath tub warm.

My comment about targeting them with tip ups was mostly just to get a response out of Johnny because he thinks anyone who targets panfish can’t catch trophy walleyes.

Probably the river somewhere.

lol, Gim is known internationally for his deep seated disdain for northern pike.

next to a skin on sunfish…..pike are the prime rib of fish!!!! fried, grilled, smoked and pickled!!!!! besides they taste better then bass or walleye!!!

The Business has been engulfing most of my time.
I will be retiring soon so the Walleye better be on alert for next season.

Better come up with a plan. Things have changed in a few years. You cannot throw any walleyes back because of hooking mortality and barotrauma. But you cant keep them either because that makes you greedy and unsportsman like.
