No dilusions here. This boat is absolutely a WET ride, but what 16′ tin tiller boat isn’t. However for a boat that gets the snot kicked out of it on the river multiple days a week that “wetliner” sitting in my garage is about as good as it gets!

ggonzo = check out the Merc 4 stroke 9.9 = less than 100 lbs. good to go for bays but pricey (3K approx). I’m considering a 24volt 80 lb thrust transom mount trolling motor instead (but no open water, I stick to the bays only). To limp back to the dock if needed (in saltwater), I use a 55lb thrust in Freshwater.

Any opinions on the 2014 Sport Fish 1850? Looking into getting one with a 150hp Merc 4stroke.
Looks a little cushy-er than other boats which will be good for the ladies.
How does it ride in rough water? Being in ND, rough water is fairly common.

    Thanks!

As far as the wet ride goes, aren’t we driving through water that has waves? Drive better and stay dryer is my 2 cents. If it starts and floats, pretty much works for me.
