When will we hear more about Lowrance's "Livescope" Technology?

I thought there was a 1/1/2019 release date for it?

The only date I’ve heard was Feb 4th, but I don’t think anything was officially confirmed.

I heard 2nd quarter this year

I spoke to the Lowrance Rep at the Boat Show today, he said it will be released in April.

Live Scope Transducer will be out in april at a cost of $999, instead of the $1499 that we were hearing. That said the box for the Carbons will be at $299 and available late summer!

You should see the official announcement and unveiling this weekend at the Bassmasters, I believe March 15 is the official date. The transducers should start shipping in April.

I can hardly wait to see actual images!

Looks like transom mount ducers are now available online. Assuming with out seeing images this transducer will be similar to panoptix and not livescope images? Ship dates are not until early May.

This weekend you will start to see photo’s and video starting the 15th running through the 17th (Bassmaster Classic).

April 1st will be the official reveal of LiveSight and May for consumers purchase in stores.

I have seen videos and screenshots. I will say this. The beam angle is wider than livescope of Garmin. I don’t think the detail is as good, but when you look at coverage area is better. I guess I would rather have better coverage and be OK with a bit of clarity which could come later.

It’s pretty cool though!

The white background is basically identical to Garmins Panoptix with a bit more coverage area.

The black and amber screenshot as you can see the detail isn’t perfect, but I wonder if they were moving, because the video I saw looked better than that.

I pulled these images from another site and just stating the information that I have read, and from the video’s I have seen from Lowrance. I am sure everyone will see those video’s soon, but I won’t be posting them. There is a video of baitfish and a tarpon that is pretty neat.

Lets hope the images are clearer cause honestly those pics are horrible. IMO, I would never purchase if the quality was that poor…I’m hoping that’s a still shot of a video.

It is pretty tough to take a screenshot on a polaroid camera and then convert that digitally.
What the heck did they use to take that picture an etch a sketch?

Like I said the videos I have are better. I can’t post anything though.

What do you guys think the image is going to look like when the waves are rocking the boat? Everything they advertise is going to be the best quality obtainable done under perfect conditions.
I can think of better ways to spend $1000+ for a transducer…

The next gens of this technology will make current stuff look like Atari 2600…Look at the jump from Panoptix to Livescope… I’ll wait a bit for the tech to mature and for everything to be included in the same case, no separate boxes, etc

I would assume something tonight or tomorrow will be shown at the bass master classic, Also the trolling motor will be release tonight.

This was a tremendous advancement when going from the original structurescan LSS-1 or 2 boxes and then upgrading to an HDS Touch unit that had it all built into the head unit and it was SMALLER!
Crazy the leaps and bounds technology changes in a short period of time. Each manufacturer is pushing each other big time.

I am not real sure I understand why Lowrance would want to get into that space. Maybe to push Motorguide out or its a joint venture with Motorguide.

Yuck.

I love my lowrance HDS units but I watched that video a few times and the quality still looks urine poor. Livescope was night and day better. It’s great their technology is there but it obviously needs some fine tuning…this is based off the images they’ve put out but maybe it’s better in real life. Hopefully.

agreed, this appears to be more inline with panoptix livevu than livescope.

Its technically Garmins Technology. Navico settled the lawsuit with Garmin out of court. In exchange for the Panoptix Technology, Garmin will be able to use certain patents that Navico owns in regards to the UHD imaging. It’s a win win for both companies. The only company left out will be Humminbird. They are licensing all of Navicos imaging and theres no Panoptix going their way anytime soon.

I absolutely love it. Saw it at the Boat Show two months ago. It’s very similar to Garmins ps30 transducer that they released in 2016 except for the fact the graphics at much better. I’m a fan of the historical aspects of this Technology. For the rivers it makes a lot of sense. My ps30 transducer has given me a leg up when it comes to Sturgeon fishing.
