Anyone in northern MN switching to minnows yet? The water temps have to be dropping some.

Was on Leech 2 weeks ago and had good fishing using jig n’shiners on weed edges in 10 FOW.

Start bringing minnows with for jigs. Shinners and fatheads. The time is quickly approaching and it’ll pick up any day now!

I got back Friday from the Park Rapids area. Fished 1 1/2 days using minnows for Walleye, and did very well.

We were in the BWCA 10 days until Sept 5th and the walleyes were still going good on leeches. Water temps were 64-67 degrees.
But some were spitting up minnows and baby perch.

Wasn’t aware walleyes ever quit eating minnows.
