when it starts to come together

Oh, I’m sure this sounds a little cheesey, but I do love the rush that I get when a new load comes together. Daughter child #1 is off to college and I haven’t been pleased with the factory rounds she has shot. Made a batch up and hit the range this afternoon in all this wind. 200 yrds. Not bad for crappy conditions. A few tweeks and a hunting round is born. 270 Remington 7600. Barnes 130gr ttsx over 4831sc Hornady brass and WLR primers

Nice.! With a wind like that. Not one of those shots would have been a miss. And at 200yds. If you would have held on the center of the ribs. Just think what you could have done with NO WIND.? …rrr

I was back out and duplicated the load. Very consistent 1″ at 200yrds. Wish every rifle I load for would fall in this easy.

I’ve got a 25-06 that is rejecting some factory loads that is disappointing me. At 25 yards, center punch. Move back to 100, can’t hit the paper. Sometimes it’s just not easy. I’ll be back at it this weekend when I have a little more time to make small moves.

Glad your rounds comes in quickly.

Kooty, Ive experienced more than my share of those finicky barrels. Good luck on that one. that 25-06 is a great caliber

It’s my second favorite caliber outside the 22-250. I guess I like speed.
