    Sheldon,

My version of this involved a 55 gal burn barrel and a rubber balloon.

    (1) Inflate balloon using a mixture of acetylene and oxygen from nearby cutting torch.
    (2) Tie a 4 foot piece of bailing twine to the neck of the balloon
    (3) dip the entire length of said twine into some kerosene
    (4) Lower said balloon into a cold 55gal. burn barrel, leaving half or more of the soaked twine hanging over the outside edge of the barrel
    (5) Using a match, light the exposed end of the twine

About 60 seconds later, experience a tremendous boom and fireball shooting from the burn barrel.

About 4 minutes later, watch the local cops cruise the neighborhood looking for the source. (this was right in town)

    This sounds wild!

Well, this time nothing goes boom!
But once you crash one from 200 feet and limp away from one, you feel like you lived through a big boom!!
?? 2 years ago August 29th I crashed my airplane into the ground at 60 knots and survived.
How crazy is Iowaboy1 you ask??
YEP !! I bought another one and am in the process of getting it ready to fly after some modifications and minor repairs.
