When do channel cats in lakes move deep?

    Might fish the horseshoe chain next week and was wondering how deep the kitties might be. We fished last year in October and got a bunch in 3 fow. I know by winter they are over deep basins and I know also that it is snowing outside of my window right now!
    Anyone have an idea?

    they move deep every dang time I show up,dont matter ifn its up nort or down here.
    I am starting to think the stink bait I use is a side line from a diaper cleaning service.
