When can you actually buy the OTC MN permits?

Two questions I cannot find the answers to anywhere on the DNR site.

    1. When can you buy turkey permits for the later, non-lottery seasons? Are they on sale now?

    2. Is there a limit to the number of OTC permits for each area?

After the last two years of giant weather cluster##### during the early, weeks, I’m going to try to enjoy life this year and hunt late. I mean, not that the abject misery of sitting in the icy snow while calling in a driving rain with the occasional sleet pellet hitting your hood doesn’t have its charms…

    Many thanks.

I believe mid march they go on and the same number of permits are available each season as for the lottery

I found this in the Application Purchasing Procedures on the MN DNR web site:
“Everyone else can purchase a license over the counter starting in mid-March.”

    No specific time mentioned.

I believe that the over the Counter Permits are available anytime prior to the Start of the Period they are for. My buddy purchased his the night before he hunted last year. I also do not believe there are any limits to how many can be sold. They go from Micro managing the permits by real small area’s to Opening up large area with unlimited permits sold. That’s the Minnesota DNR for you. This offers no control over how many birds may be taken out of various area’s.
