Heavyhauler, just pull the trigger! Try it out for a year and if you don’t like it, sell it in a year, even if it’s for a grand less than you payed you can look at it like you rented it.
As far as the biffy we just put a scented bag in the bucket along with some light weight kitty litter and the gals are fine. After a few uses just tie the bag and toss it outside. #2 the bag obviously goes outside immediately. They’re frozen by the time you leave and I toss em all in in a large bag (leaf bag) and into the bed of the truck then to the dump.

To be honest I wouldn’t want one that I have to pump out the waste.

We run water through the coffee pot to get it hot and then put it in a air pot. It stays hot for well over 24 hours. Great for washing your hands!

We went to LOW 5 times and 4 of those we stayed for 5 days.

As far as the comment on how many houses were on LOW this winter the conditions on Red lake played a big role in that.
I pull my 21′ with a 1/2 ton and have had no problems.

Just picked up our 2021 Limited Edition Ice Castle yesterday. It’s very basic house, $15k brand new. Tough to find a used one cheaper. I looked at used houses for a while, depending on how many bells and whistles you want, it made much more sense for us to go brand new.

Can I ask where you picked it up at, I’m in the market now or soon.
    Thanks

I ordered mine from Milaca. As I mentioned earlier, we stripped expensive items like the AC (window AC worked fine in my last shack and I wanted NOTHING on the roof), we went with standard grey paneling instead of full cedar.

Well I did it. Got a 2019 8×17 outlaw for 14,900. Was looking at a number of 4-5 years older for 13-15k on FB up in MN. Found this one 30 miles from my house here in SE SD. Went and brought it home on Wednesday and salesman said they had multiple offers on it after I committed.
