In my firebrand my gas cooktop has a ventilation hood over it to remove cooking odors and co. Co is deadly over extended periods of time in enclosed non ventilated places. Therefore you should never use a gas cooktop for heating especially when sleeping. It’s designed for cooking while your awake and the hood is venting to the outside.

Yeah mines got the hood also. Doesn’t matter. The smell gets into bedding and clothes. Makes me sick.

I will use the oven for hot dishes, lasagna etc. I agree with the fried smell it gets overwhelming but fresh walleyes out of the lake and into the grease is fantastic. My rentals are new 2018’s so we’ll see if the ovens are better than the older ones.

I agree about cooking smells and incorporate outside cooking like grilling and frying anything in oil. Now coffee smelling up the joint is both permissible and welcome.
