Hello everyone, I love fishing the Mississippi when I can get there, curious what the best access is for taking a wheel house out on Pepin,I would imagine it’s in pretty good shape after this cold weather, but not sure how long that will last with the warm weather next week? Maiden rock, Stockholm, Frontenac, hoksila, or rochean? Thank you for your input.
I haven’t been out of Frontenac in a while . There’s a few small houses out from roschen . I saw a few pickups out from hok si la but know it has a heck of a hump on the wheeler Saturday but doable with a pickup . Not sure about pulling a house as I didn’t see any out there . Also pretty narrow. Hopefully someone has some better info . There was also two out of Pepin not sure where they got on at .
Don’t take this as a green light to start driving all over, but I know x2 drove out from Pepin by the Pickle a couple weeks ago. I was over there meeting with a guy about marina stuff and they were coming off. The foot of the lake loses chunks of ice with the slightest weather/wind change, so you have to know what you’re doing down that way
