What's the smallest walleye you've ever caught?

Pulled the portable out on a metro lake yesterday to catch some fish. End up hooking into this monster. Anyone else ever caught a fingerling before?

About 3″.

Never caught anything that small, maybe 5″. I caught that one on a jointed 6″ jerkbait.

After numerous unsuccessful attempts on pool 2, I was out one night with Mike W. As you might guess I was netting a lot of fish. Finally…FINALLY…I hook a Walleye. Maybe 14 or 15 inches. I was delighted. Mike says “I think that’s the smallest Walleye I’ve ever seen on Pool 2”. Oh. Back to fishing LOL.

Caught this one the other day. Attacked a Tingler spoon with a vengeance!

Lake Winnebago. They can get pretty aggressive.

I have picked up stocked walleye fingerlings a couple of times while chasing panfish. A least the bait size makes sense in that case. I once caught a 5 inch muskie in Hyland Lake in Bloomington. I was fishing for bass with a fairly large spinner and the little maniac smacked it. I talked to the local CO a couple weeks later and he told me they had stocked them recently and were just then getting to posting the muskie signs at the launch ramp and fishing pier. No idea how they have done in that lake, no longer fish it.

Out of curiosity i checked the DNR Lakefinder for Hyland Lake, found out that there a fair number of crappie in the lake and walleyes! I never saw either when I fished the lake regularly 15 or so years ago. No mention of muskies but the bass are abundant and decent sized.

This little guy absolutely crush my rattle reel! Thought it was a big pike for sure by the way the rattle reel was spinning! Set the hook to quite the disappointment.

My son got this 6″ that hit a #7 smash shad on LOTW last year when it became bait for something quite a bit bigger never saw what hit it before it dropped it.

Dang! I’ve heard and read about this happening quite often. Never had it happen to me though.
