What's the optimal hole setup for a 2 man flipover?

I recently purchased a simple flooring system to lay down inside my Otter Cabin. Before I cut some template holes in the flooring for the drilled ice holes, I’m curious how others setup their holes in a 2 man flipover? I like to use a camera and sometimes a flasher, so I was thinking a 4 hole setup would be optimal with the camera hole way up in the corner away from the door to hopefully be able to see both lines and a flasher hole in the middle again to see both lines? What are your thoughts?

Oh man, the way this question is worded: this could get out of control.

I have found that it depends on how deep you are fishing. Looks great for shallow water.

I typically fish in 8′- 16′, this setup works pretty well, if the water is clear enough you can drop the camera down the middle hole and it can see both lines pretty well too…just curious if somebody figured out a better setup…

You could also put that camera hole darn near under the sled too.

thought of that, but i like to use the camera panner to see what’s around. Typically I drill a hole just outside the house and point the camera back at the holes, but that freezes too quickly when cold out…If i keep the camera hole inside the house, it stays open and the panner doesn’t freeze. I put a milk crate over the panner hole and keep the camera on top of it…

22 sq. ft. total fishing area? Hole size’s around 8-9″?

Dang, I had about four more good zingers. Oh well. Yeah, not sure you have too many options other than to just get a chain saw and open a big square. You have a good layout in your drawing. Give it a shot and let us know how it works out.

I always base mine on what heater I will be using that day and room for flasher but usually end up with a staggered line of holes. But then again I rarely if ever fish two guys in a shack so normally I am only 2 holes.
Back to your original question- the optimal 4 hole setup would be a blond, a brunette, a redhead and a hot chocolate.

Yes, Otter Cabin is 22 sq ft, 8″ holes…

I’m now thinking the setup like my drawing is ideal, but keeping the middle holes a little closer together should improve the single flasher accuracy for both holes and the camera hole off in the upper left hand corner should have a few more feet of coverage then too.

Good luck at getting that many females out ice fishing!
