Currently have an Otter Cabin that I use with ATV and Snowmobile. Looking for one man to pull on early ice.

I’d say keep your cabin and build a smitty sled.

If your looking for a run & gun shelter that is built tough, take a look at the new Otter XT Hideout. This is a full thermal shelter, narrow profile sled with wing/arms that give you a shoulder width of 39″. Great for wide shoulder guys.

The shelter weighs under 60# and the best part is the pole are NON-telescoping and due to the extension of the wing/arms, the shelter opens up to nearly 9′ long giving you enough room to run 2 holes.

I have the new Otter Hideout…

I have pulled it around in my yard… set it up and put it away many times .. again in my yard… I have sat in it and got in and out of it… and put it away in the back of my truck…
I have not had any ice to use it yet this year but I am more than ready to use the heck out of this thing !!!
Light weight… plenty of room for my wide frame…easy in and out and a comfortable seat that swivels …

    C’mon Ice !!!

My single clam is the ultimate run and gun. So easy to pull I usually just take my gear out with it even when I don’t use it as a shelter. I have an older Scout model without zipper door but I can’t imagine using the door anyways on that model.

Why do you want a fish house if you plan on moving around a lot? You want to really move a lot forget the fishhouse. Use the money you where going to spend on it for some very good cold weather gear.

I have been going round and round on this, as I have good winter gear. I’m more than likely to go with the Shappell Fx50 as I don’t sight fish (got a vex for that).

Shappell FX 100, deep sled, easy to pull by hand @ 37 lbs., sliding bench seat allows for different fishing positions, just flip and fish.
