What’s the A Rodge situation?

I’ve never understood the mindset of not participating in any preseason games. Sure, you may not need the practice but the other 10 guys around you, not to mention reserves, may benefit from semi-real speed situations. For the ultimate team game, I’d think that’s important.

I just think back to the story on Joe Montana later in his career leaving a film study on the West Coast offense with pages of notes when he assisted with pioneering it. Humility goes a long way which has never been a Rodger’s strength.

When you’re that Great there is no need to waste your time practicing, especially with mere mortals.

Rodgers is now complaining about the exact thing that happened to Brett Favre… jester

Man, that interview was pretty interesting. He legit was contemplating retirement? I knew it was floated out there, but didnt think there was any truth to it.

He’s a weasel, but a helluva QB. When he hosted Jeopardy, I wanted to dislike him. He was actually pretty good. Discount double check ads got old in a hurry. Happy that Danica Patrick is no longer with him. She can do better.

Some of the State Farm commercials are pretty lame/stupid, whatever. I wonder if AR had “input” on those. He is an expert on insurance I’m sure. whistling

Rodgers has tested positive for covid 19 and will miss Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

I’m sure state farm was drooling at the idea of both their representatives facing off on the battlefield.

Jordan Love will make his first NFL start.

It looks like his next week status is up in the air as well. His likely return date is one week from this Saturday.

Love him, hate him, or somewhere in between…it sucks that key games and outcomes for the NFL season are still clearly capable of being impacted by Covid. With Rodgers they’re a top notch NFC team even with a ton of key injuries. Without him and enduring the other injuries on the roster, they’re a sub .500 team.

Apparently he is not vaccinated even though he led everyone to believe he was. NFL.com is reporting that he claimed he was “immunized” before the season started.

Will he face any penalties if this is true? Seems like the NBA has ramifications for not following protocol but I cannot remember if NFL has the same type of deal.

I don’t know. I’m sure the team, coaches, and trainers already knew his status regardless of the terminology he used when talking to the media and fans.

I do know that the required protocol for an unvaccinated player is much stricter though. Those protocols were agreed to by everyone before the season started.

What makes you think he wasn’t vaccinated?

I know a half a dozen people that have contracted covid while being fully vaccinated (my wife included)

It’s not near as effective as they say (they claim you’re 8x less likely)

NFL.com, Fox Sports, and NBC Sports all reported it shortly ago.

It’s pretty clear based off the NFL protocol. Although I can’t stand this attitude of people knowing or caring about people’s personal vaccine status.

    like masking on the sidelines,

I don’t recall ever seeing Cousins masked up on the sidelines between plays…. coffee Did I miss that?

There’s no fines or anything like that in the NFL for being unvaxxed, they just have more hoops to jump through (like masking on the sidelines, more frequent testing etc.), which he wasn’t following. TBD if he did or will face any fines for it.

That is what I was getting at. Not the fact that he wasnt vaccinated, but the fact he was acting as if he was and not following the unvaxxed protocols.

I think that was a preseason requirement on the sidelines, and believe unvaxxed have to mask indoors still.

I think it was something like masked on sidelines or whenever not wearing their helmet which if you watch Cousins is always on the sideline with his helmet on.

People get the vaccine to prevent severe illnesses or death, nothing else. It’s this stupid narrative of getting the vaccine to go places or to protect others. This was never promised to those of us vaccinated. Did you see that the CDC changed the definition of vaccine Today?

    Are you kidding me? Lol

That was and still is a large part of the narrative and “selling point”

#protectothers (if “others” want to be protected shouldn’t they get protected?)

Please read this page straight from the CDC to see for yourself

Quote from the CDC website, in BOLD nonetheless: Once you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing more (aka go places)

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/vaccine-benefits.html

At least the Chiefs will/might/could/maybe/probably not/or could be protected from the Packers for a week mrgreen

The meme is kind of like the Vikings offensive line

From what I have read so far on this, he was following protocol for non-vaccinated players as required when attending team meetings, practice, etc. However, this past weekend, he violated league rules and was at a large gathering for Halloween, which is strictly against the rules for unvaccinated players.

The league is now conducting an investigation into this. Outcome TBD

I’m not saying it was right or wrong. I’m only saying it was a violation of league rules, which he and every other player agreed to before the season started.

Bigger fish to fry when you have player going a 156 mph hitting and killing others while intoxicated. A rod is little news. Covid crap is a joke. Nothing will happen to him. People just want to cry about him not following some special bs rule.
