i got me a question for all you fancy chefs out there…….i had someone send me a text picture of something he made. it was chicken breasts cubed battered with fish batter and fried.

anyone ever do that or try it???????? think he said he used this Louisiana fish breading. thinking i might try that sometime with the Andy’s cajon breading.

I have a buddy who cooks all his wild turkey this way. he says its the only way one of those thing can be made to taste good. I have had it several times and it is good done this way. he does deep fry his.

Turned 50 today. Here’s my birthday cake to share with the missus. Got a foil packet finishing of our last 10 habaneros from our 2021 garden with onion and bell pepper to light up the top while they rest. Ordered a half steer yesterday from the local farmer we got these ribeyes from. Life is good.

I agree. ALMOST. Ketchup goes with any kind of potato. Sometimes eggs and burgers. Never a steak. Glen’s been in timeout since I found out he uses miracle whip. We can never be friends unless he accepts that I’ll always give him a hard time about that.

Just so we are all clear ketchup doesn’t belong on or in anything.

Ketchup is good on pretty much anything. Usually not steak for me though that’s what A1 is for devil

A1 and Miracle Whip are for hillbillies. Grandpa was born in Scotland and put ketchup on everything, even in soup. I think anything you normally put ketchup on is almost as good without it, but if you REALLY want to improve it put mayo on it. REAL mayo, not Miracle Whip (aka mayo + sugar).

I put BBQ on everything no ketchup no mayo no anything else. BBQ and tabasco but steak needs nothing no sauce unless the woman cooks it which is pretty much never but when she does I resort back to a1

Best cake ever!! And ketchup is nasty. I will accept it from a FF burger joint but that’s where the line is drawn.

Steak just needs salt pepper and garlic powder. Pretty much anything grilled or pan seared is good to go with SPG for me. I think I picked up the mayo thing for french fry dipping from putting fries on BK Whoppers when I was a kid in the 80’s. Mayo and onion is all I ever put on my burgers now. Ketchup lasts for months around here unless I use it to make BBQ sauce or glaze on top of a meatloaf.

On topic, tonight is leftover ziti with a meat sauce I made from 80/20 chuck, hot Italian sausage, onion, garlic, spices and our last two pints of diced tomato from our 2021 garden.

Those wings look awesome. I love me some good wings.
We had smokies BBQ over off Coon lake. Big BBQ pulled pork on top of a 1/2 pound patty. It was delicious. Sadly as nice as it is tonight I think a lazy movie night is what I have on the books
