KP you could always get one of those scaling buckets for sunfish. Neighbor has one and it works fantastic!

I should invest in one of those. Only problem is not everyone likes sunnys whole. I grew up cleaning fish that way and its funny to me how so many people have never heard of cooking sunfish whole.

ALL our sunfish used to be cleaned whole, then i went through a divorce with custody of my 3 kids. i never got to eat hot fish cause i was picking bones.

you can still scale then and then fillet them out with the skin on……..works well, especially for people that curl there nose at bone in fish!!! when frying skin on fillets they like to curl but no biggy!!!!!

sunfish arent wormy for the most part in my experience. stay away from fish caught in shallow water mid summer…..especially punkinseeds!!!!!

and if your worried about worms in fish………you should be more concerned about a whole lot of other foods you eat!!!!

Nice night for grilling. Started with 4 pork chops and one of the dogs got one off the counter while they were thawing out flame

Beautiful night for the grill grill, got home at 530 and fired up the weber. Made the venison brats over the coal tonight.
Mixed these brats up when I was doing sticks a couple weekends ago.
They are cheddar, jalapeño, smoked Chipotle peppers that were chopped from the garden and garlic. Turned out awesome

I had a Ronco, though, and they’re pretty awesome. Makes some great food.

I pretty much only use mine in the winter time because of the amount of heat it gives off. Whole chickens, hams, and various cuts of beef. I don’t use my grill in the winter when its bitter cold out, so that’s when the Ronco does some work.

When I was a kid with 4 TV channels – I used to be obsessed with the Ronco Rotisserie Infomercial. I just had to check if Ron Popeil was still with us, turns out he died in 2021 of a brain hemorrhage. That guy was a salesman!

A roast sounds so good right now. I think I will head in and pick one up with carrots an onion and potatoes and put in the crock pot.

Had the day off today. Cooked a corned beef brisket point and made some Rueben’s on the cast iron skillet with onion rings in the air fryer

Oh man, one of my favorite things in the world. I usually just buy corned beef from the deli, throw it on some marble rye with kraut and swiss and throw it in the panini maker. I need to do it with some corned brisket like you did Coletrain! I’m sure there’s plenty on sale now because of St Patty’s coming up.

Dang you guys, I am hungry now. Had to send someone to Mc D’s for some breakfast.

I love corned beef and short ribs. Usually don’t do either that often due to the cost of them. I have to look for sales on the corned beef, tis the time of year.

I did the corned beef in the crock pot since it was snowing/raining outside and didnt want to get the smoker or grill out. Cooked it for 5.5 hours and let it rest for 1/2 hour before slicing
