Looks good. Ever try venison summersausage fried up in the skillet , served with two eggs over easy & toast? One of my favorite breakfasts.

Christmas with the kids and grandkids tonight. This is hitting the charcoal soon. Wild rice is in the background. Coleslaw, twice baked taters and corn accompanies this.

My annual oyster stew for New Years day. This batch ranked up as one of the best that I ever have had. Sorry I did not get a plated pic, this was just before it was refrigerated.

    Qt. selects
    Qt. 1/2 & 1/2
    Qt whole milk
    1 stick butter
1 carrot finely sliced and chopped
2 or 3 of the inner stalks of celery finely diced
    Lea & Perrins
    Lola’s Hot sauce
    S & P
    Oyster & fish sauce
Thicken with cornstarch, flour or arrowroot.

Carole found some huge oysters this year pretty reasonable. She used a quart of them in her concoction. I’m not an oyster fan.

3 squirrels quartered and marinating in Buttermilk 20 hours. This is what I ended up with. Fried on the stove in olive oil rolled in flower and seasoning.

That buttermilk is a heck of a tenderiser!

blush no nuts allowed in my goodies! tongue

Fear not dude….I won’t go there. Your nuts, er….goodies, that is.

And I had a tv dinner yesterday for my evening meal. Tonight I behaved and had a large salad with cucumber and tomato, fat-free French dressing and a pan seared [to medium well] steak. And three nice chunks of venison snack sticks.
